2:06pm: Chris Loding / Casey Jensen vs. Troy Staten / Dan Loding
Team Sandusky for the Cobra Kai will be taking on Team Derelict from Lombardo. Dan and Troy have provent o be a solid 2 man scramble team the last two years being able to get inside Mel and Barkeley’s heads. But Case and C-Lo are used their antics and should go unphased. This will be a very tight matchup but the Cobra Kai will prevail Cobra Kai 1UP
2:18pm: Dave Barkeley / Zach Griffiths vs. Jeff Eckles / Jason Collinsworth
Barkeley is used to having to ride with Mel for 18 holes to start the Ryder Cup so this should be a refreshing change of pace for him. It is supposed to be sunny on Friday so Jason might have trouble gripping the club with all of the sunscreen. Zach continues his winning streak and Cobra Kai gets the point Cobra Kai 3&2
2:30pm::Luke Kendziorski / Mel Kendziorski vs. Ken Mihelich / Kyle Eckles
On the flipside, Mel is used to having to carry Barkeley all 18 holes and he should be able to get a little help from his son (very little). Ken is coming off of a back injury and Kyle is likely coming off of another head injury so this match goes to the Cobra Kai. Cobra Kai 2&1
2:42pm:Brad Coombs / Steve Gordon vs. Eric Wachterhauser / Chris Zale
This should be a very good matchup. Brad’s first round as a member of the Cobra Kai going against his former teammates and Steve looking for some redemption against Zale. My gut tells me that the Cobra Kai would win this but somehow Zale’s magic will continue. Lombardo 2UP
2:54pm:David Santini / Kevin Dever vs. Dan Morrell / Rob Juncaj
The Bandit is in a tough spot on this one. He is paired with a guy (use that term loosely) whose clubs are 3,000 miles away from him. Kevin will be extremely rusty and he isn’t very good to begin with. Junks’ consistency will allow Dan the Ringer to bomb away. This will be close for a while but once Junks starts talking about Donald Trump to Kevin, he will come unraveled. Lombardo 3&1
3:06pm:Brandon Lietke / Patty Mihelich vs. Nathan Lietke / Steve Seargeant
A rematch for the ages. Last year Brandon and Patty were able to hang onto a huge victory with some big putts on the back 9 despite the booze. Cobra Kai will have the lead early but just like 2015, Lombardo will come storming back. Brandon and Patty won’t be able to make the long putts on the back this year. Lombardo 1UP
Saturday Afternoon (1 on 1)
2:06pm:Casey Jensen vs. Kyle Eckles
This has been a very tight match the last two years. I think it will continue this year as another tight match but Casey continues to improve gets the victory.Cobra Kai 2&1
2:06pm:Brad Coombs vs. Dan Morrell
Dan is still shaking off the misery of defeat that Luke handed him two years ago on the 18th green. He will be hitting the ball well but Brad defeated Luke last year and won’t have to play in the same group as him which will only make him shoot better this year. Cobra Kai 3&2
2:18pm:Chris Loding vs. Steve Seargeant
Always one of most intense and entertaining matchups every year, C-Lo and Searge have come down to the final hole seemingly every year. This year will be no different. However a push on 18 will leave an anticlimactic finish. ALL SQUARE
2:18pm:Patrick Mihelich vs. Rob Juncaj
This is a big rematch after Junks called out Patty last year. The key to this matchup will be the seven of Patty’s drivers. If he is driving the ball well, Junks won’t be able to make up the yardage. But if not, Junks could come away with yet another victory. Lombardo 1UP
2:30pm:Dave Barkeley vs. Eric Wachterhauser
Another match that seems to come down to the final hole every year is Barkeley and Eric. Eric got the better of Barkeley last year and I think the roles could be reversed this year. Cobra Kai 1UP
2:30pm: Mel Kendziorski vs. Ken Mihelich
The senior tour matchup came down to a miraculous backspinning putt on the 18th green last year. Ken is still frustrated from how last year finished and will want to bounce back to beat Mel. If The Boss’s back holds up and Mel counts all his strokes, Lombardo will get the point. Lombardo 2&1
2:42pm:Steve Gordon vs. Jeff Eckles
Steve had a rough year last year but was able to defeat a wore out Jeff two years ago. Steve should be rejuvenated this year and should be able to take Jeff down again. Cobra Kai 2UP
2:42pm: David Santini vs. Troy Staten
Righty vs. Lefty. Doctor vs. Dirtbag. A great rivalry here. Last year Troy held off the Bandit on the 18th hole for the win. The same will happen again. The only difference this year is the Bandit’s hair is a little more gray and he is a little more annoying. Lombardo 1UP
2:54pm:Luke Kendziorski vs. Chris Zale
The MVP vs. LVP match! There is a real chance Zale could be 11-0 in Ryder cup history heading into this one on one match. It will be up to Luke to stop his reign of terror. Can he do it?........HELL NO! Zale is slow and steady and Luke will be slashing from woods to woods. Lombardo 3&2
2:54pm: Kevin Dever vs. Jason Collinsworth
This match might have a total of 300 strokes between the two of them. Luckily, this matchup is toward the end of the groups so it won’t hold everyone else on the course up. Between the politics and whatever else they argue about, this match could derail everything. Jason led last year until the final 4 holes. I think this could be the year Jason finally gets a 1 on 1 victory. Lombardo 1UP
3:06pm:Brandon Lietke vs. Nathan Lietke
Brandon shot the lights out last year and Nathan couldn’t do anything. The match this year will be a lot tighter but you never know how riding next to Dan-o for 4 hours will affect a man. This will be close but Dan-o repeating himself will eventually wear on Nathan and take him out of his game. Cobra Kai 1UP
3:06pm: Zach Griffiths vs. Dan Loding
The most anticipated 1 on 1 match in the Ryder Cup is the final match. “62 just ain’t gonna cut it!” Zach has seemed to have Dan-o’s number every year. Even when Dan-o is golfing well all weekend, Zach finds a way to scratch out the victory. This year will be different but I’m not ready to say Dan-o will get a victory. ALL SQUARE
