2019 Ryder Cup Information - UPDATED!
Fellow Cobra Kai Members and Degenerate Lombardo Members,
Through a long a tumultuous road, we have finally set our 2019 Lietke Ryder Cup roster. Remember we are getting close as it is Thursday May 30 - June 2 at Hawk's Eye. There have been a lot of changes so the brief synopsis is the following:
We have decided that Ty Loding and Rick Barnak will jump over to the DEFENDING CHAMPION Cobra Kai team. We have also decided what the one on one matchups will be on Saturday afternoon. In no particular order (or tee times), this who everyone will face in the 1 v 1 matches:
Cobra Kai / Lombardo
Brandon Lietke vs. Dan Morrell (chalk up a point for Cobra Kai)
Steve Gordon vs. Nathan Lietke
Patrick Mihelich vs. Scott Barnak
Chris Loding vs. Steve Seargeant
David Santini vs. Ken Staten
Dave Barkeley vs. Troy Staten
Ty Loding vs. Jason Collinsworth(less)
Rick Barnak (the Santini Slayer) vs. Andrew Santini
Brad Coombs vs. Eric Wachterhauser
Mel Kendziorski vs. Dan Loding
Zach Griffiths vs. Ken Mihelich
Luke Kendziorski vs. Chris Zale
The format will be the same last year. Friday morning will be a practice round. Friday afternoon and Saturday morning will be 2 man scramble rounds and Saturday afternoon will be 1 v 1 matches. Thursday night the captains will set the teams and pairings for Friday afternoon. Friday night the captains will set the teams and pairings for Saturday morning as well as the tee times and groups for Saturday afternoon (even though you already know who you will be playing against).
Friday we will play the Chief all day. Saturday we will play Hawk's Eye all day.
I will collect $40 from everyone again for Closest to the Pins, Long Drive, skins, and prize money. If you wish to Paypal me ahead of time, that is fine (BLietke@gmail.com). Otherwise, MAKE SURE to bring cash to the course. It is very difficult for me to collect cash from everyone and keep track of who paid when I am running around doing other stuff like getting blacked out drunk. Last year, Friday morning I literally woke up in my bed in a Karate Gi with cash all over my bed and ZERO idea of who paid me. ALSO! Everyone on the Cobra Kai please bring your medals! Zach please bring your LVP medal as well. And if you are a Lombardo member and forgot to bring your medal last year PLEASE bring it this year.
