2015: The boss came out and took a tough loss from the Bandit and Casey. However he bounced back on Saturday afternoon earning his first Ryder Cup point by dismantling a decrepid Mel and a worthless Kevin. On Saturday afternoon, youth outperformed wisdom as he suffered a loss to his cocky son Patty.
2016: The Boss suffered a tough 0-3 weekend. He lost tight matches on Friday and Saturday morning but was then in good position to battle with Mel and lady driver. However, he still suffered a controversial loss to Mel on Saturday afternoon. Controversial because Mel backspun in a putt on the 18th hole and more than likely cheated all day throughout the round.
2017: This was a tough year for Ken. With a tweaked back, Ken was fighting through to try to support his Lombardo team, but it wasn’t in the cards. A Friday loss to the father-son due of Luke and Mel propelled the rest of the weekend for Cobra Kai. Ken focused on having fun, talking shit to Cobra Kai and trying his best to get in the heads of the other Cobra Kai twerps to help his team as golfing wasn’t in the cards.
2018: Ken miraculously had a breakout 2018. He was the shining star for Lombardo, considering he was 25% of the wins for his team. A controversial Friday afternoon match against the Bandit started out the weekend with a 1UP loss. While the Bandit claimed victory, he was unable to produce a scorecard to reflect the win. On Saturday morning, after being down 1 at the turn, Ken and Santini took two holes in a row with a bogey and double bogey on Zach meltdowns. This launched Ken in to his Saturday afternoon match against Zach, with Zach posting two-10s on holes 4 & 5. Ken was up 4 at the turn and never looked back. Ken is looking to mount another great 2019, especially against the returning LVP, Zach.
As the senior member of the group he brings over half of a century worth of experience in talking shit and not backing it up. As dangerous in the dining room as he is on the course, the "boss" will be looking to feast on the competition........and anything else thats in his way.
Ryder Cup Highlight
Ken's brief Ryder Cup history comes with a couple of highlights. Right out of the gate, Ken showed his craftiness offering Fireball and other paraphernalia to Gordo. He was immediately taken out of his game. The boss's other highlight came around 1am on Saturday night when his champion son had to guide him back to his condo in a drunken blur.
The Boss is already petitioning to play from the senior tees and negotiating with the clubhouse for his AARP discount. The "boss" now contributes to the 3rd set of of father/son combos in the Ryder Cup. Ken is equally ashamed of his son and his counter parts Mel and Jeff are of their sons.
